'Picturing Change' Project

Picturing Change puts cameras in the hands of India's child care workers so we can hear their stories on their terms.
India has the largest free, publicly run child care system in the world. The centers, called anganwadis, are run by women known as workers and helpers. These women do incredible advocacy for the children and families in their communities, much of which goes undocumented and unseen. Our goal in this project is to give anganwadi workers the tools to tell their stories in their words, and to give you the opportunity to hear (and see) what they have to say.

Project by Mathangi Subramanian and Greeshma Patel.
