The School of Education at
Concordia University Irvine, California, announces a search for a graduate
faculty member to serve in the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership Program,
beginning July 1, 2015. The Program seeks an academically
qualified and experienced professor to teach research courses and to lead
dissertation seminars in blended learning environments (face-to-face,
synchronous/asynchronous online) that support active and meaningful learning
experiences.
The position allows for a
professor to work with students and faculty members from a remote, online
location. Some occasional travel to the Irvine campus is expected.
Qualifications:
· An earned doctorate in educational leadership or a
field directly related to educational research.
•
Demonstrated
experience and excellence in teaching research methods, doctoral level teaching
and service on dissertation committees preferred.
•
Willingness to
work with graduate students in blended learning environments, online teaching
experience preferred.
•
Successful record
of conducting educational research.
•
Evidence of
working collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, students, and
community members.
•
Active membership
in a Christian church.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
· Active participation in the Doctor of Education
program.
· Teach research courses to a cohort of students in the
doctoral program in blended learning environments. Courses include quantitative
and qualitative methods, statistical analysis, and dissertation seminars.
· Facilitate the development of students’ preliminary
dissertation proposals.
· Serve on dissertation committees including chair positions.
· May also teach in the Master of Arts in Education online
program.
· Conduct and report scholarly research.
· Occasional travel to the Irvine campus.

Serve as a model of Christian discipleship in carrying out
the mission, purpose, and objectives of the University and School.
