The successful candidate for this non-tenure eligible position will coordinate the further development of a rigorous doctoral program that advances innovative action research in areas such as policy, education reform and higher education. The candidate would also have the opportunity to collaborate with nationally recognized faculty in research and educational leaders in innovation. 

Major responsibilities include: (1) oversee and coordinate the development of the face-to-face and online EdD program; (2) collaborate with the division leadership and college staff to coordinate recruitment and marketing; (3) collaborate on the scheduling and staffing of classes; (4) assign committee chairs; (5) teach classes online; (6) serve as lead instructor for classes taught and course coordinator for selected classes; (7) serve as Chair of Leader Scholarly Communities and dissertations; (8) mentor doctoral students in the doctoral program; (9) establish and maintain a record of scholarly productivity as demonstrated through top tier peer reviewed publications, external funding and presentations at national conferences; and (10) provide service to the university, college and division.

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate from an accredited university in the area of Education or a related field with demonstrated expertise and experience in educational leadership and innovation
  • Demonstrated scholarly productivity
  • Demonstrated leadership in program development
  • Demonstrated successful teaching at the graduate, including online classes


Desired Qualifications:

  • Successful doctoral-level teaching and mentoring
  • Ability to supervise students using various research methodologies
  • Experience with action research
  • Demonstrated promise in obtaining external funding
