The Department of Educational Studies at The Ohio State University invites applications for an Assistant Professor (untenured) or Associate Professor (with tenure) position in its distinguished and nationally recognized Educational Administration program, to serve as Director of the Ed.D. program for P-12 school leaders, to begin in fall semester 2015. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and top ranked program with a rich history of leadership in the field of educational administration.

Qualifications: The position requires an emerging or established national scholarly reputation as evidenced in part by an exceptional publication record. An earned doctorate in Educational Administration/Leadership or a related area is required at the time of the appointment. Experience with funded research, advanced methodological expertise and experience with the professional doctorate (Ed.D.) will be viewed as strengths. Whereas the specific area of focus is open, candidates whose expertise includes program evaluation, advanced research methodology, principal leadership, school system leadership, or education policy will be viewed favorably.

Responsibilities: As Director of the Ed.D. program, the successful candidate will provide intellectual and programmatic leadership for a rigorous and transformational professional doctoral program that enrolls highly qualified current school leaders seeking advanced professional knowledge and opportunity in P-12 schools. Responsibilities include program leadership, teaching, advising, as well as engagement in research and service activities. The teaching load for this position is reduced to accommodate for administrative responsibilities.
