CAISE Review Call for Papers

‘Collaboration between Schools and Families of Children with Disabilities’


This special issue is aimed to offer an overview of current theories, research and practices regarding developing partnerships
in western countries (such as the United States and United Kingdom) and Asian countries (such as Singapore and Hong Kong, China). The information will be of value in stimulating reflection and further research among educators, guidance professionals, and researchers.
Consistent with the publication policy of CAISE Review, articles of the following typeswill be considered:
  •   Regional or national perspectives on current developments and practices in
    developing collaborative partnerships between schools and families of children
    with disabilities;
  •   Training and implementation issues arising from developing partnerships between
    schools and families of children with disabilities;
  •   Review of theoretical and professional literature that has implications for creating
    partnerships between schools and families of children with disabilities;
  •   Evaluation and research on programs enhancing collaboration between schools
    and families of children with disabilities.
    All submissions must be double spaced and conform to current APA format and style. The maximum word count of the manuscript is 3500 words (excluding title page, abstract, references and figure captions). An electronic copy in Microsoft Word of the
CAISE Review is the peer-reviewed journal published and distributed annually by the Centre for Advancement in Inclusive and Special Education, based within the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Education. 

CAISE Review announces a call for papers to appear in a special section of the journal with the theme ‘Collaboration between Schools and Families of Children with Disabilities’ between schools and families of children with disabilities manuscript should be submitted as an email attachment to:

The deadline for submission is October 31, 2014 for inclusion in CAISE Review: Volume 3 (April 2015). All submissions will undergo the usual double-blind review process. Please identify the author/s’ names only on a detachable cover sheet and not within the paper. For further information contact the Guest Editor, Dr. Lusa Lo(email: Lusa.Lo@umb.edu).

Once the article has been accepted by the editors and proofed by the author, it will be published immediately on the CAISE Review webpage 'Articles in Press' section. The article could be openly accessed by readers from all parts of the world.
Submissions of regular articles to CAISE Review are welcome throughout the year.
